The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors has approved a special use permit for a privately owned youth wrestling facility planned for Prices Fork Road, approving the measure by a split vote.

The decision followed discussion that included local support for expanding wrestling opportunities as well as concerns about potential traffic and environmental impacts. Some board members and residents raised those concerns, according to the information available. The summary does not identify the speakers or provide details about the specific impacts they described.

The facility is described as privately owned and intended for youth wrestling. The available information does not provide the owner’s name, the project’s size or design, its expected operating schedule, or a construction timeline. It also does not state the vote tally, identify how individual supervisors voted, or describe any conditions attached to the permit.

The approval authorizes the project through a special use permit, but no further information was provided about the permitting process or any additional approvals that may be required. Details such as traffic studies, environmental reviews, or measures proposed to address the concerns were not included in the summary.
