As the telecom industry continues to modernize voice networks and strengthen trust in calling, service providers are navigating two distinct challenges: how calls will be routed as legacy TDM/PSTN infrastructure gives way to all-IP networks, and how call authentication can extend effectively across national borders.
In a move to help further shape the future of trusted voice communications, iconectiv today announced it will lead and participate in two panel sessions at SIPNOC 2026, taking place September 15-17, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Dulles Hotel in Herndon, Virginia. One session will examine the mechanics of associating IP-based routing information with telephone numbers in support of all-IP interconnection, while the other, led by iconectiv, will explore what is required to establish trust between SHAKEN-enabled countries.
“We’re at an important moment for our industry,” said Kathy Timko, CEO, iconectiv. “The transition to all-IP infrastructure provides opportunities for networking efficiencies. Leveraging existing operational infrastructure to support this transition is key to meeting the deadlines proposed by the FCC. At the same time, the fight to protect trust in every call can’t stop at our borders. As voice fraud increasingly crosses from one country to another, so must the frameworks we rely on to authenticate it. Solving both these challenges – modernizing the infrastructure underneath every call and extending that trust globally – is central to how iconectiv is powering trust in modern communications. Events like SIPNOC 2026 bring together exactly the right mix of telecom operators, standards bodies and technology providers needed to tackle these topics head-on, and we’re proud to be part of the conversation shaping the future of trusted voice communications.”
