SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 01, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Verse, the energy intelligence platform for the AI economy, today announced that enterprise energy buyers now manage 30 gigawatts (GW) of power through its platform, Aria™, triple the volume under management at the start of 2026.
Access to power has become the defining constraint on AI growth, and nowhere is it more immediate than for data centers waiting to connect to the grid. Grid operators are rewriting their rules around a simple principle: loads that bring new capacity or can flex, connect faster. PJM’s proposed Interim Resource Adequacy Service would require large new loads to bring their own new capacity or accept curtailment during shortages. Southwest Power Pool’s CHILLS program offers large loads that accept conditional, curtailable service, an interconnection study in 90 days. In Texas, Senate Bill 6 pairs new curtailment requirements for large loads with clearer, faster paths to the grid. Across markets, flexibility has become the price of speed.
That is the problem Verse’s Dispatch Intelligence™ product was built to solve. Using onsite battery storage and other flexible assets, Aria gives new sites the dispatchable flexibility these rules reward, helping customers connect to the grid up to three years faster than standard utility timelines. Once a site is operational, the same assets keep working – dispatched in real time to reduce costs, manage risk and maximize the return on the infrastructure investment.
Connecting, though, is only the start. A large data center operator today holds a portfolio of supply contracts spanning wind, solar, nuclear and gas; utility tariffs and meter data for every facility; and a growing fleet of flexible assets, both onsite and in front of the meter. Those pieces are typically managed in separate systems by separate teams, which makes it difficult to answer the questions that matter: like “what will our energy portfolio actually cost?”, and “where is risk hiding?”.
Aria manages that full position in one place. The platform’s Portfolio Insights™ product maintains a live, unified view of every site, supply contract, tariff and meter, while Dispatch Intelligence forecasts and dispatches flexible assets in real time. Because one system sees supply, load and flexibility together, customers can optimize the entire portfolio against the objective that matters most to them, whether that is lowest cost, bounded risk or a carbon target, and adjust course as market conditions change.
“Reaching 30 gigawatts on Aria is a huge milestone for Verse, and I’m incredibly proud of this team for making it possible,” said Seyed Madaeni, CEO and co-founder of Verse. “Our customers are navigating increasingly complex power portfolios, and they trust Aria to bring supply, load and flexible assets together to deliver faster, cheaper, cleaner power.”
The company’s growth follows its $54 million Series B, led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from GV, NVIDIA and Norrsken. Verse is using the investment to expand Aria, grow its team and accelerate product development as power availability moves from an operational concern to a board-level constraint on growth.
